THE GOVERNOR.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, last night. Some time ago Lord Banfurly was asked by the Government to consent to serve a second period of office as Governor. His Excellency has agreed to accept an extension of his term of office by one year, and the Secretary of State for the Colonies has signified His Majesty’s approval. Lord Banfurly's commission under the extended period will expire in April, 1804,
