Band Contest.
By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, last night. Entries for the solo, trio, and quartette competitions at the Band Contest total at present 190. A few more may come in yet. The following are the principal numbers : —B flat cornet, 40 entries ; E flat cornet, 11; E fiat horn, 25 ; E flat slide trombone, 20; euphonium, 16; B flat bass, 15; trombone trio, 7 ; quartettes, 22.
