FATALITY AT OHIWA.

A MAN DROAVNED.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night.

An accident occurred at Ohiwa, near Opotiki, to-day, John Kelly, of Cpotiki, being drowned. It appears that Kelly was crossing in a ferry boat with a double-' seated buggy, and was carried out to sea, the boat being upset. The s.s. Paeroa and Fingal were both in the harbor and rendered every assistance, with difficulty rescuing Lush, the ferryman. Kelly seemed dazed, and sank. Deceased leaves a wife and family of 11.
