Wanganui, last night. In addition to the teachers’ summer school another important gathering is being held here, viz., the Australasian Students’Christian Union Summer School, which commenced with devotional services yesterday, and will continue during the week. °
At the District Court to-day a man named Buckingham was charged with perjury. The ease lasted all day, and at a late hour to night the jury disagreed, and were discharged. A new trial will begin to-morrow.
