The Gisborne Times PUBLISHED EVERY MORNING. GISBORNE, JANUARY 18, 1902. LAND SETTLEMENT.

Tun meeting of tho Band lloard to be held at Gisborne to-day is of great importance to tho district, for the reason that it will probably result in a largo area of land being thrown open for settlement at an early date. There will, we understand, be offered areas from forty acres up to 2000, tho lots being scattered all over the district, but being mainly situate at Nuhaka. The little section at Maungatokerau will be included, also Bilham’s section at the Motu.
