A Big Fire.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyrigh Melbourne, Jan. 17. A fire occurred at Bleasby and Co. s, ironmongers, large five-storey building. The stocks were very hea\ ! 3’, and included large quantities of fireworks. Cartridges added danger to the splendid pyrotechnic display. There was a continuous discharge of cartridges, but luckily no one was injured. The firemen succeeded in preventing the fire spreading to a store containing gunpowder and explosive oil, The damage is not stated, but besides the building being gutted, the floors and stock of other premises suffered severely by water and smoke. The building was valued at £15,000, and the stock at £22,009. Tbe insurances are £28,000.
