Div. £2 3s. Welter Hack : Blank (Stuart) 1, Baldie •a, Borax 3. Won by half-a-length, after a good race. Time 1.33. Diva., £5 6s and ,£3 9s.
Connop, rider of Victoria Cross in the last race, fell off, and received a fractured thigh and other injuries. Waipawa County Handicap : Lady’s Link, 7.13 (Williams), 1; Mongonui, 8.0, 2 ; Minervo, 8.3, 3. Won by two lengths. Time 1.441. Div. £'6 14s. Grandstand Handicap : Baldie 1, Blank 2, Waimoe 3.
