WATER, DRAINAGE, AND ROADS.
(To'the Editor of the Times.)
gl ßi —lt is about time the ratepayers had some authoritativo statement from the Mayor or Town Clerk as to how the proposed money, if raised,'is to be spent. I should like to ask for some information with regard to the following -Water : What is the cost and what portion of the town will be served ? Will the ratepayers -ave to pay the individual cost of putting the same into their housos? Drainage: What is the cost arid what portion of the town will be drained ?. Will the ratepayers have to pay individually the cost of connecting their premises with the Borough drain ? Roads : What is the cost, and on what roads will this money be spent ? Until some satisfactory information is given on these heads, I shall join with othors in opposing any such loan as £75,000 at the present time.—l am, etc.,
Ratepayer,
