Edward Collier, a doukey-man on the Zealandia, has died of injuries received by falling down a companionway. Melbourne, Jan. 13. The gold yield last year was 189,5620 z, a decrease of 17,8-luoz compared with the previous year. The total product of the State to the end of last year was 65,136.17402, valued at over 260 millions. The Federal revenue for the six months ended December was £1,629,000, being £148,000 above the estimate. The Federal Postmaster-General has arranged with the Eastern Extension Cable Company for a reduction of the press cable charges with China from 4s to Is Id and Is 6d per word, according to destination of the message.
