Lamb, prime Canterbury, 4-Jd, fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington, and secondary Canterbury, 4§d ; River Plate, both heavy and light 3 J-d. Beef, New Zealand : There jis none offering. Hides, Queensland, ox 4fd to s£d, cow 4|d ; New South Wales, ox 4gd to 4|d, cow 4^d.

Canterbury is at sd, other brands 4Ad. New season’s has not arrived. Australian is at 4ld. Australian lamb is of a very mixed quality. Tho stocks of New Zealand beef on hand are light. Hinds 4Jd, fores 3d. Butter is firm at 106 s, Danish 112 s. New Zealand butter is giving satisfaction to buyers, distribution is increasing, and tho outlook is encouraging. There is a good demand for cheese. The market is firm at 50s. Hemp is very firm. Good fair Wellington is at £34, February to April shipments £32 10s. Thore has been no alteration in cocksfoot since last week.
