Drowning Accident.

(By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, last night. A fatal drowning accident occurred at Sumner lust before noon yesterday. It appears that five young fellows who were camping near Sumner went across the Estuary- in a boat to New Brighton side, and two went in for a swim. Shortly afterwards George Stubberfield, a young man of 22, was seen to be in trouble, and jailed for help, but before any assistance could be rendered he disappeared. Dragging for the body was continued all the afternoon, without result. Stubberfield was a very steady young fellow, employed by Sargood, Son, and Ewen.
