DAIRYING INDUSTRY.

CREAMERY TO BE ERECTED AT ORMOND. A meeting of milk suppliers of the Ormond district was held at the Ormond Hall last evening for the purpose of considering the question of the erection of a creamery at that place. There was a largo attendance, Mr W. Graham presiding. Mr T. McGregor, proprietor of the Kia-Ora factory, was in attendance to discuss the prospects of the movement. A number of the settlers present guaranteed eightyfive cows, with every prospect of another hundred being forthcoming. Mr McGregor said that he would open a creamery at Ormond on September Ist, the building to be erected on the Marshlands property, opposite Mr Bond’s. The meeting closed with the usual votes of thanks.
