CHINESE ATONEMENT.
PROMISE OF FUTURE GOOD BEHAVIOUR,
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Dec. 22. Yesterday Chinese officials at Tongetao made an atonement for the massucro of missionaries and converts there in August last year. They attended a funeral service for tho victims, and signed a promise to protect converts. Fifty villages were represented at the ceremony.
