Mr Asquith, speaking at Bilston, said that if Lord Rosebery's speech was untransforined, at any rate it denied and defined the situation of the union of all parts of the Empire, consecrated by imperishable memories. They should, In said, demand honorable and durable peace, but meanwhile there should be the prosecution of operations with unfiagging valour and alertness. He eulogised Lord Kitchener as a great and patient general.
