Napier, last night. At the first wool sale of the season today there was a full attendance of English and local buyers. The clip generally was bright, clean, and well-grown, and in light condition. The bidding throughout was brisk for fellmongers’ lots. Flec-ce wool, in sympathy with London rates, was low, and a number of holders preferred to save for tho London market. In comparison with last year, prices show a drop of 2d per lb on bright, course wools, on logstained and coarse wool, and about lid for finer wools. Prices of fine crossbred and half-bred are 4cl to 51; good-condi-tioned crossbred, 3d to 3fd ; iog-stained, 2d to 2fd ; pieces, ljfd to 3d ; bellies, P£d to 2i d ; locks, Id to 1 jd.
