| A mkkti.vo of the Gisborne Tent, 1.0. R., S.U., was held last evening, there being a large attendaneo. Bro. M. G. Nasmith {juu.J, C.li., presided. A letter was received from the Star of Gisborne Lodge. /.0.0.F., A.C., forwarding complimentary tickets for their picnic to be held on New Year’s Lay. It was decided that Bros. Peckover and Roland represent the Tent. A letter was received from the Listrict Officers, in reference to the Listrict meeting to be held in Wellington in February, PJO2. Bro. A. Georgeson, Secretary, was appointed to proceed to Wellington on behalf of the Tent. Nomination of officers for the ensuing term took place. Bro. C. Rosie was elected as auditor for the ensuing six months. Two new members were initiated, and one proposed. A lot of routine business was transacted. It was resolved to hold the next meeting on Friday, January 3rd. A meeting of the Ballance Tent was j also held last evening, Bro. .J. Lods, C.R., presiding. A letter was received from Bro. J. Fathers, Listrict Superintendent of Juvenile Branches, enclosing greetings for I 1902, the greetings being warmly received. ! Nomination of officers and routine busi- I ness also took place. Luring the meeting Bro. A. Georgeson, Superintendent,presented Bro. W. Bloom- 1 field with a handsome prize given by the ' Listrict < hikers for the brother who introduced the greatest number of members during the year. The prize was an artistic silver monogram hearing the letters " Georgeson, in making ihe presentation, referred to Bro. Bloomiield’s services in the Tent, and hoped he i would be instrumental in inducing even \ a greater number to join during the ; coming year.
