Price of Meat.
(To the Editor of the Times.) Sir, —The butchers promptly raised the price of meat when the price of stock went up. How is it that we have not heard from them lately now that the price of stock has had such a great drop ? ft is an acknowledged fact that the best sheep are sent Home as frozen mutton : there was last week a reduction of four shillings per carcase, but I have not yet heard that the butchers have taken the hint.—l am, etc., Consumer,
