To Circumvent Trusts.

Washington, Oct. 21 The United States Industrial Commission recently discovered that a large number of commodities manufactured by the various trusts are exported and sold abroad at considerably cheaper rates than at home.

Over thirty are specially mentioned, including steel plates, machine tools, steam engines, boilers, electrical instruments, motors, and agricultural implements. The chairman of the commission strongly favours the abolition of duty on all such articles exported to this country from abroad.

The matter is to be brought before Congress next session. The trusts will undoubtedly use every effort to defeat the proposed legislation.
