HARBOR IMPROVEMENTS.
The plans by Leslie H. Reynolds for the improvement of Nelson harbor have been approved by the Government, and the Order-m-Counci! has been gazetted. The Committee of the kelson Chamber of Commerce discussed the question to-day, and resolved that in order to protect the traffic of the port and provide for a possible increase, harbor improvement i 3 aofm .fl De?ded ’ havin S re S ard ‘o ‘ho pproiai given by Government to the scheme of Mr Leslie Reynolds, the Com- ', s o£ oP'n'on that this scheme should be forthwith carried out. The statutory meeting was held to-night to consiaer the proposals to borrow L'65,000 0 carry out the work. The meeting was largely attended, and was favorable to th& proposal. A vote of thanks to the Harbor Board for the very complete information afforded, and of confidence in the Board was carried nem eon.
