TAKAPUNA RACES.

The Takapuna Jockey Club's spring meeting was concluded to-day, in fine weather, and in the presence of a very fair attendance for an off-day. Tho racing was again good, and during tho afternoon the sum of £7057 was passed through the totalisator on eight events disposed of. Tho following were the results: — Stanley Handicap, 4 furlongs. Takapuna, Blackford 1 Sold Webb ’ ...2 Sly Miss ... 3 Also started : Telephone, Tolstoi, Lady Dash, Scout, Rosiphelo, Himalaya, Delia Bose, Despatch, lota, Camille, and Lady Desborough. Won by a neck in the last few strides, after a good race. Time, 52sec. Divs., inside £0 16s, outsido £0 17s 6d and £6O 17s 6d. Second Handicap Hurdles, 1] miles. Regalia 11., Wilson 1 Eufus 2 Princess of Thule 3' Also started : Vanquish, Chancellor 11., 1 Firefly, and Miss Drury. Won by a couple of lengths, aftor an interesting finish. Timc,3.22J.
