land Mounteds. Lieutenant Moflit, Third New South Wales Mounted, is mentioned

for gallant, dashing conduct at Val liivor, capturing fifteen Boors. Sergt.-Major Lockett, of the Sovonth Now Zoalanders, has boeu awarded tho Distinguished Conduct medal ior the gallant rescue of a prisoner at Losberg, losing an arm in consequence of a wound he received. Tho Dartnell Imperial Light Horse surprised and captured 24 Boers at liarrismith, including Cornet Lyon, active leader, and Captain Pretorius, also 800 cattle and 150,horse.°, Lioutonant Haraor, of the New Zealand Mounteds, has sailed for England.
