HOPES HELD OUT TO OFFICERS,
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. Speaking at the dinner of the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association last night, Mr Gray, Secretary of the Department, said that the revenue for the past three months, notwithstanding penny postage, showed very substantial results. He explained that the Postmaster-General hoped within twelve months to make one or two amendments in the direction of benefitting tho rank and file of the service.
