His last speech declaring annexation inevitable came as a urrib’ie shock to bis admirers, who interpret his attitude as a seltish device to oust the Unionists. Twenty thousand horses have been shipped from Fiurne, Hungary, for South Africa. Mr Gerald Balfour, speaking at Manchester, said Lord Kitchener's offer to Bulba that the Transvaal would first bo treated as a Crown colony, then represennetne, and admitted finally to responsible government, was still open. Nov. 29.—C01e has captured a field cornet at Vanrensburg. Thirteen others have been captured in east Grange Colony. Several smaller successes are reported. Fouelie shot two privates of the Connaught Rangers captured at Doidrecht. The cause is unknown. Sergeant Thomas Harris, of the Sixth New Zealand Mounteds, has been slightly wounded at \\ akkerstrooin.
