Sydney, Nov. 28. A vigorous resumption of trapping aid other forms of destruction resulted in tho discovery of a large number of plagujd rats on tho harbor foreshores and various parts of tho city. The health authorities consider tho outlook very serious. The Mayor stated that it appears almost impossible to avert another outbreak of plague. *■

Arrangements have been made to resume tho systematic fumigation of sewers. The public aro urged to assist in tlm destruction of rats.

Melbourne, No v. 28. Owing to the discovery of plagued rats at Sydney, trapping on tho whs.rvcs has been resumed. Tho rodents aro reported to bo dying in large numbers.
