BETTING MARKET.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Auckland, last night. The declaration of weights for the leading events at the A.E.C. Summer Meeting lias livened up matters in tbe local betting market. Nonette was strongly backed for the Auckland Cup, about T'SOO being accepted at fi and 7 to 1. Bluejacket has been supported at 100 to 12 for tbe double, Cup and Railway Handicap. Nonette and Royal Artillery were supported to win .£SOO at 100 to 4, and Bluejacket and Cannongate were backed for a like amount for the Cup and Steeplechase to-day at 100 to 5. Nonette and Bluejacket may be quoted equal favorites for the Cup at 100 to 20. Coronet is quoted at 8 to 1, Tortulla 10 to 1, and San Homo 12 to 1. Yal Rosa has been scratched for the Auckland Cup and Railway Handicap, and Palaver and Cure for all engagements at the A.lv.C. Summer Meeting.
