Sydney, Nov. 2,~>. The Federal duties on bananas and maize caused consternation in the New Hebrides and the adjoining islands. Auckland, last night. Messrs Miehelson and Bagnall Bros, have received cables stating that white pine will be admitted free under the Federal tariff.
