Market weak. River Plate is in large supply, and is being strongly pushed for sale. Canterbury lamb 4 1-81: other New Zealand lamb, 4d. Scarcely any demand : prices nominal. New Zealand beet, hinds 8 7-Sd. lores 2 5-8.1. Choicest butter linn ; Australian 112 s. For inferior butters, the market is dull. There are large stocks in the cold stores. Cheese market is unsettled: Canadian 455. Hemp is firm but quiet: good fair Wellington is quoted at spot £3O, to arrive £32.
