The sensitiveness of tile Germans was nut justified by any cuing Mr Chamberlain said. Tho belief that tile war is conducted ferociously rests on a propaganda of mendacity and and malignity, generating international ill-feeling. Sir il. Gampbeti-Banneriuau’s denunciation ol methods of barbarism furnished a pretext for ill wishes.” The Standard and Chronicle warn Germany of tho danger of tolerating unlicensed abuse of England. The Daily News says the German Government have been driven to an unusual course. They are conscious that they cannot afford to put themselves in the wrong by an opinion powerful and angrily expressly agitation.
