WHATAUPOKO V. HAITI. The cycle sports yesterday interfered with the continuation of the Thursday competition. City and West End did not continue their unfinished match, but Whataupoko and Ivaiti resumed play on No. 1 pitch. Whataupoko, with six wickets down for 79 runs, carried the total for their first innings to 92 before the last man was disposed of. Haiti then went to the wickets, and were all disposed of for 57 runs. Lyttelton, Porter, and Gibson shaped well at the commencement of the innings, but were not supported. H. Ferris was the most successful howler for Whataupoko, and eapturod fivo wickets for 21 runs. Whataupoko then went in for their second innings, and were all disposed of on call of tirno for 77, of which total Ilodgo claimed half. Gibson accomplished the “hat trick” in this innings, and bagged four wickets in the over, but was later on punished severely. Lyttelton also bowled well.
