A GARDEN PARTY (Promoted by the Lady Parishioners of Holy Trinity) Will be held in MB HUMPHREYS’ GROUNDS, Waikanae, on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19tii, 1001 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. The CITY BAND have kindly consented to play Selections during the evening. PROGRAMME—Inner Grounds : Girls’ and Boys’ Races, Sack Races, etc., etc.; Rounders,‘Swings, Driving the Nail, Threading the Needle, Aunt Sally, Lucky Tub, Refreshment Stall, Afternoon Tea Stall. From 3.30 to 4.30 p.m., in the Football Ground (by the kind permission of Captain Tucker), under Captain Winter; Tilting at the Ring, Lemon Cutting, Tent Pegging, Polo Pony Ball Race, Flag Race, Gretna Green Race, Thread Needle Race (all necessaries provided). Best Decorated Bicycle (ladies), entrance Is; first and second prizes. The same (gentlemen), entrance Is; prize. Best Decorated Pram or Go-cart, entrance Is. Pea Rifle Shooting on the banks of the Waikanae, under the supervision of Mr G. Humphreys.
