OCEAN-GOING CAPTAINS BEAT THE GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, Nov. 20. The sealing-up of vessels’ stores by the Fedoral Customs, and charging duty on stores, has been forcibly resisted by oceangoing vessels. Several vessels, after tho stores had been sealed, steamed outsido the fchree-milo limit and broke tho seals, with the intention of forcing the Federal Government to defend its position. The latter, however, has withdrawn from the position, and issued instructions to revert to the old methods. Stores are now being issued aboard ships duty froe.
