A dozen militia battalions are also going to South Africa. Lord Kitchener’s weekly report shows 43 Boers killed, 16 wounded, 291 prisoners, 6 surrenders. Commandant Foucbe is north of Jamestown, retreating rapidly towards Barkley East. Malan, Hugo, and Latigan, with 20 men, were pursued hard for several days towards Calviua. All their spare horses were captured. Moutz, with 350 uien, has been driven across the Borg river northwards. In the last encounter with DeWet, Prince Radziwill, of Kitchener's Scouts, was dangerously wounded. The Daily Chronicle exposes a pro-Boer cabal to capture the National Liberal Federation. Dr Leyds declares there will bo no peace without a guarantee of independence. FIFTH ARMY CORPS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright Loudon, Nov. 20. The Daily Mail states that Lord Roberts' nominee for the command of tho Fifth Army Corps is General PoleCarew. Tho Times states that the Pan-Germanic League convened a crowded meeting of Zurich Swiss to sympathise with the Boers, but thoro was a protest at Germans abusing hospitality. ORANGE COLONY’S REVENUE. A cablegram from Mr Pilcher gives tho names of tho throe men returning on tho Wilcauia with Lieutenant Joyce, as:— 4495 Fanclough, Dunedin ; 3527 Morrish, Mariborough ; 3671 Tatham, Dunedin. The messago states that 3358 Dolanoy, Wellington, has injured his knee, aud is returning soon.
