It refers to the extent- to which the trades unions have captured the London County Council and School Boards, involving a great waste to tho ratepayers in maintaining idle workmen. A SENSIBLE MINISTER, Budapesth, Nov. 19. Coloman DeSozell, Hungarian Minister of tho Interior, declared in the Diet that the Triple Alliance was the best possible means of affording a maximum security of peace, so that Great Britain, although owing to hor traditions she had not joined, was able to lean towards it, and at the same time Austria-Hungary was able to act in concert with Russia over the Balkans.
