River pints mutton is at Bd. Beef is unchanged. Kauri gum sales: -2-133 cases were offered, and 800 .were sold at a slight advance. Three-quarter scraped is unchanged in price. New Zealand hemp is steady. Fair Wellington Octoher-November shipments are at £33 10s. The Ashmore’s wheat cargo sold at 27s -lid. Copper, spot, is at £OO 15s. Tin, spot, is at Till 5s ; three months, X'lo9.

The Agen&rcncraTs cablegram, dated London 16th, states: Average price ol Canterbury mutton 3j)d, Wellington Meat Export Company, Dunedin and Southland 3Jd, North Island il/;d, Liver Plate 3d. Market depressed. The quantity going into consumption at present is very small,.and the stocks on hand arc heavy. Canterbury iamb 41d, lamb other than Canterbury 4d ; scarcely any demand for larnb. No alteration in beef since last week. Good demand for choicest butter. Australian 112 s. Chec-sc, steady price 465. Hemp, quiet. Holders firm, buyers hanging back. Good fair Wellington, spot £33, February to April' shipment £3l. Napier, last night. Messrs Nelson Bros, received the following special cable from the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company : “Itivor Plate shipments very large. Prices very unsettled. Use great caution in buying.” The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report upon stock sale held on loth November :—The yarding of both sheep and cattle was smaller than usual, and the attendance rather less than average, owing no doubt to so many people being busy shearing. Sheep were slack of sale. Hoggets, in woo!, had to be sent home, buyer and seller not agreeing as to value. Old owes and good percentage lambs brought 12s 9d; dry ewes, old, 7s 9d, noth in wool. Cattle: Demand was fairly good. Springing heifers met a ready sale at good prices. We sold dairy cows X' i to £i) ss, light beef cows to 15s, 15-month steers .14! 15s. Pigs : Weaneis made Gs. Our next sale is fixed for 28th inst.
