The diagnosis by tho Board of Health in regard to tho boy at Annandale suspected to bo suffering from the bubonic, plague, proves that it is a true case of plague. Active steps are being taken to prevent the spread of the disease. It is stated that several dead but healthy rats have been found in the vicinity of where the boy worked. The authorities contemplate a campaign against rats, which have lately been largely on the increase.
