Sydney, Nov. 14. The explosion was confined to a small area. Tho damage to property was slight. (Ivor three hundred men working in other parts of tho mine at the time have been withdrawn, and work stopped, pending an examination by the Government inspector. Tiie manager is unable to account for the accident. The place was examined every few hours, and no traces of gas were over found.. Every precaution was observed. An official enquiry has been ordered.
