AUCKLAND NEWS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. Arrived : Southern Cross, mission vessel, from her island cruise, and Manapouri, from Tonga and Samoa. Tonga news states that unless rain comes soon the copra crop will be ruined. The Fiji revenue for nine months of the present year was £83,091, a decrease of .£9131 on tho corresponding period of 1900. Tho expenditure for the same period was £69,297. At the annual meeting of the Leylaud and O’Brien Timber Company, the report showed a net profit, including balance from last year, of .£9016. The directors recommend a dividend of 10 per cent-., and a bonus of 21 per cent., that £6OOO bo carried to reserve, and £l5O be given as a bonus to the employees.
