Hospital Affairs.

(By Telegraph—-Press Association.) Masterton, last night,

The Masterton Hospital Trustees hold a special meeting to consider the case which recently caused unfavorable comment throughout the district. A young man suffering severely from a crushed leg, and in a critical condition, was brought in at a time when the medical officer was absent. Three other local praotitioners were asked to attend the patient, but declined, giving certain personal reasons. Two nurses have also resigned, but this is not attributable to any friction with the hospital doctor. After a lengthy discussion it was decided to offer the present medical attendant A'2so per annum on guaranteeing that either his own or the services of another doctor shall always be available at the hospital.
