Sir W, 11. White, Director of Naval Construction, has resigned, owing to illhealth.
j Sir W. H. White’s ill-health has been largely brought about by worry over tho expensive failure of the Royal yacht, for the plans of which he was responsible.! The Court is at present at Sandringham.
J. Anderson, a New Zealander, won the 10U yards, long jump, and hurdles at the Cambridge Freshman Sports. Mr Winfeu Eady, K.C., has been appointed to succeed Sir Cozens Hardy as Judge of the Chancery division of the High Court. Paris, Nov. 5. The prize offered by M. Deutsoh for aerial navigation has been awarded to M. Santos Dumont, the Brazilian inventor.
