Dunedin, last night. In connection with the Presbyterian General Assembly the Moderator hold a very largely-attended reception in the grounds of the first church to-day. In the evening there was a reception of delegates at Knox Church. The Rev. Dr. Bruce and liev. John Ferguson, of Sydney’ congratulated the New Zealand Church on behalf of the New South Wales Church. Bishop Neville and Doan I itchett conveyed congratulations, the Anglican Bishop referring to the progress made in the direction of the union of the churches. The Rev. Fairclough (Wesleyan), Saunders (Congregational), and Borcham (Baptist! also gave addresses.
