Wolseley’s Pigeon Post.

Loudon. Sept. 7. Lord Roberts lias once more openly shown Ills contempt of some of the methods of Lord Wolsoley, his predecessor in the oliice of Commander-in-fidel'. lie has ordered the discontinuance of the experimental pigeon post service for war purposes at Aldershot which teas instituted by Wolseloy. The pigeon loft is now being removed and the birds disposed of. Several hundred young birds had been already trained up to twenty miles, and the ollicer in charge stated as his opinion that the experiment had more than j availed itself. About £I2OO has been spent nil the scheme.
