LAND SALE.
As important land sale was Held at Macfarlane’s Hall on Saturday morning by Messrs Williams and Kettle, Common, Shelton, and Go., and Dalgoty and Co., and attracted a largo gathering of, town and country residents. Messrs Williams and Kettle submitted Mr Ewcn Cameron’s property at Toanga, which was subdivided into suitable areas, ranging from 10 to .’lO acres. The first lot submitted by Mr Kennedy was lot 10, containing 10 acres, and, after spirited bidding, it was sold to Mr ,). Campbell, the price being IDO per aero. Lot 39, containing 10 acres, was also secured by Mr Campbell. Lot SB, area JO acres, was passed at £2B.
Lots 85, 80, and 87 were passed at tho same figure, but were afterwards disposed of, Mr Leslie Oates taking section 85 at £BO per acre, and Mr Rodgers sections--80 and 87 at £2B 10s per acre. I -ot 3-1 was purchased by Mr .J. E. Foster at £BO, the same buyer taking the adjoining lot, containing 10 acres. Lot 27, containing 28 acres, was passed at £2O. 1 hot- 20, having an area of 25 acres, was secured by Mr George Campbell, at £BO 10s.
Section 25, containing 28 acres 8 roods, went to the same buyer at the same figure. Mr J. B. Kells then offered Mr YV. Graham’s Marshlands property, with the following results:— Lot 1: 1 aero, £2O, Mr S. Goldsmith. Lot 2 : Sold privately to Mr W. J>. Lysnar.

Lot 14 : 24a Or Op, passed at £lO. Lot 15 : 21.1 acres, passed at £ls Ids. Lot 10 : 25 acres, £lB, Mr T. Rrosnahan. senr. i.ot 17 : 2.5 acres, passed in. Lot 18 : Passed in. I-fit 10 : Passed in. Lot 8 : 24 x 12, sledge house, passed at £ls. -Lot 7 : Woolshed, yards, etc., passed. Section 1, of Mr T. H. Grayson’s Bushmore property, containing 07 acres, was sold to Mr Read, the other section being passed. 1 ihe remaining lots of town and suburban properties were also passed-, the reserves not being reached.
