From a good start Mongomii showed the way along the back, with Blue Moon, Passion Fruit and Unique close up. On entering the straight Mongomii was still in the van and looked like winning, but when a furlong from home Passion Fruit ennio with a good run, closely followed by Unique, and after a good race Passion Fruit secured a victory by a length,-Mon-gonui, a length away, third.
