EIGHT DAYS OUT TO-DAY. TUTANEKAI TO SEARCH ROUND SOUTH ISLAND. Nothing has yet been heard of the Union Steamship Company's steamer Monowai, which left tho Bluff last Tuesday week for Hobart. A cable received from Melbourne yesterday states that much concern is felt regarding the safoty of tho steamer. The Monowai is a steamer of 2147 tons, and is j.n command of Captain Spinks. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. The Government steamer Tutanekai, now at Dunedin, is to be sent to search the neighborhood of the Southern Island for the Monowai. Tiie Premier is arranging the matter, and the vessel is to leave at once.
