Yogan, an Australian scout, captured Commandant Scheepers, who is recovering. Major Holmes captured Commandants Davies and Maris at lveivlei on the Ist instant. A small commando appearing at- Saldantia Bay, the residents boarded a passing steamer and signalled a gunboat, which shelled and dispersed the Boers.
