By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, last night. A number of volunteer officers from different centres are now in Wellington at a school of military instruction. Thoy go into camp at Trentham to-morrow for a week’s open-air work.
“The Arbitration Court opened its Wellington session this morning. Sixteen cases are set down, of which thirteen arc disputes, The wharf laborers’ case is" being heard, after which the session will be interrupted by the Court of Appeal, at the conclusion of which the Arbitration Court will proceed with tho list, and after dealing with it, returns to Auckland, where another long list awaits hearing.
It transpires that the arrests made in Sydney in connection with the Ariadne ease arc consequent on the issue of a warrant in Wellington. Kerry and Freke will be brought over to Now Zealand and tried in Christchurch.
