Ngatahuia Handicap.—Beau Ideal 1, Cornea 2, Elusion 3. A pretty race. Won by three-quarters of a length. Divs., X 3 9s and XI os.
Railway Stakes.—Ocean 1, Noiti 2, Velocity 8. Won by three-quarters of a length. Divs., X2 14s and 14s. Kangiuru Welter.—Hokio 1, Tokatea 2, Waitoa 3. Scratched—Onutu. Won easily. Div., X2 14s. Electric Handicap.—Kohai 1, Klondyko 2. These were the only starters. Div., XI 18s. Tho sum passed through the totalisator for the two days was X 6727.
AUSTRALIAN TRAINING NOTES,

Vocalist and Acetine covered a mile in 1.49, and Dreamland and Bride Rule in 1.53. Hautvilliers and Paul Pry ran nine furlongs in 2.4. Rockgun and Gauleon did a mile in 1.49, and Australian Colors a mile in 1.491. Flagship ran a mile in 1.52, and Haymaker the same distance in 1.501. Blunderer ran a mile in the same time. Ibex did six furlongs in 1.21, and San Fran eleven furlongs in 2.85. Light Brigade and Grasspan got over five furlongs in 1.7. Betting is quiet. George Frederick is favorite for the Caulfield Cup at 11 to 1. Other prices are : 12 to 1 Arnpicr, 14 to 1 Grasspan, 16 to 1 Wakeful, 20 to 1 Hymettus. 2000 to 16 has been taken about Combat.
There is no alteration in the Derby or Melbourne Cup quotations. Melbourne, Oct. 10. Admiral has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. The following anticipations are given for the Caultied Guineas :—"Posiedons ” :
Hautvillers, Ibex, Grasspan. “ Caspian ” tips Hautvilliers, Ibex, and Bonnie Chiel, or Haymarket to beat him. Combat aud Caledonian galloped a mile in 1.461, and Sequence nine furlongs in 2.2}, the last eight furlongs being done in 1.47. Ampier ran over nine furlongs in 2.24. Books are absent and betting is dull
