The steamer Fanny, which arrived from Napier yesterday, brought IU.OOUft of timber, 120 sacks cocksfoot, >!22 posts and a wool-press for Messrs Dnlgety, three hulls for Mr tSherratt consigned to Messrs Williams and Kettle, and a quantity of general inrrchandhr. The Fanny returns to Napier at ten o'clock this morning. The schooner Asvanui, which arrived lrom Xairiia on Sunday, brought of timber for Messrs Kennedy and Fvans, J;;,7ulft fa- Mr T. Stafford, dfT'Jl't for Messrs Mackrell and Colley, and 10,aij8 for other consignees, The inward cargo of the schooner Gisborne consists of 00,000 ft of timber, and is consigned as follows :~U2,OUOft for Messrs ( Jitvto ll l!ros. and tJ'J.UOOft for Messrs Mackrell and Colley. When discharged, the schooner proceeds to Auckland to load fur this port. The topsail schooner Sir Henry (Capt. Clarkson) arrived from Groymouth yesterday morning, and was berthed at tiio wharf by Captain Thomson at 1 pan. Captain Clarkson reports that he left Groymouth on Monday, ijOtll September, ami experienced a light S.W. wind until the following Friday, when the schooner was oil Stephen Island. At midnight the j wind came round duo W. and blew a j heavy gale. Cape I’aliiscr was passed next day. and on Sunday a heavy S.W. wind, accompanied by a severe hail squall, was experienced. The cargo consists of ’-711 sleepers, consigned to the local Kailway Department. The Waihi's repairs have been completed at Napier, and site returns to Gisborne this morning. 'The s.s.
