GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP.

Auckland, last night. The golf championship meeting was concluded yesterday. Gillies Bros., of Auckland, and Duncan Bros., of Wellington, played off a tie in the bogey foursome competition, and Gillies Bros. won. The inter-club match between Auckland and Wellington, four men aside, was won byAuckland with a score of 00.3 against Wellington’s 378. There was a large field for the handicap match. A. B. Lawrence, of Auckland, won with a score of !)0, less 10, making 80 net ; K. Duncan, Wellington, was second with 92, less 11, 81 net. The best gross cards'returned were: Arthur Duncan, Wellington, 77 ; G. E. S. Gillies and A. B. Lawrence, Auckland, 80 ; W. B. Colbeck, Auckland, 91 ; K.
