THE WOOL MARKET.

Ohoka sold at 10d, Miliowia at 7jd, and Green Field at s:]d. Tho American visiblo wheat supply is 51,442,000 bushels. Tin on spot is £llO Bs, and at throe months £IOB 10s. Copper, on spot, £64 2s (id ; three months, £64 ss. Lead, £ll 17s Od. At the wool sales to-day, an inferior selection was offered. Prices were well maintained. Dcnholpai sold at 7:]d ; Acland 7 5-Bd. Consols are unchanged. BANK OF ENGLAND RETURNS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Oct. 4. The Bank of England returns show tho stock of gold coin and bullion to ho £30,081,000, and reservo £25,386,000. Tho proportion of reserve to liabilities was 48'fil. The amount in circulation was £35,574,000. Public deposits amounted t0£10,575,000; other deposits, £41,204,000; Government securities, £18,022,000 ; other securities, £27,158,000. Threemonths’ bills arc discounted at 2[ per cent. LATE QUOTATIONS. New South Wales fours aro at 113, and New Zealand at 112.); Victorian threo and hulls, 101; Western Australian, 102: Queensland threes, 91:J. Other stocks aro unchanged. Wheat: Markets are dull, tending downward. Cargoes quiet. Victorian and South Australian October shipments sold at 28s Od, .alloat 27s 9d to 28s 3d. Sugar is steady. German 7s Gd, first marks 9s od. Tin is firm. On spot at £ll2 15s ;at three months, £llO 2s 6d. Copper: On spot, £Ol 15s; threo months, £64 10s. Lead, £ll 15s ; spelter, £lO 10s 3d. Silver, 2s 213-10 d.
